![]() ![]() "I was called a giraffe or an emu because of my long neck," says Teya, a mum of three and a writer from Sydney. ![]() While some men, like David*, who I spoke to for a previous ABC Everyday story, report not feeling respected or treated as an equal because they are shorter than average height, for the women who contacted me after reading the story, it is their taller than average height that attracts discrimination. They say 'size doesn't matter' but it's clear from speaking to shorter men and taller women, that's not necessarily true.
